Story

Gundello Godaari story starts off in the year 1986 in a remote village in Rajahmundry.Newly married couple Malli (Aadi) and Chitra (Lakshmi Manchu) gets struck in the floods and losses hope of surviving.Malli and Chitra saving each other reveals their past lifes.

Malli says his love track with Sarala (Tapsee).Sarala is the daughter of Samba Sivayya where Malli is working as a daily labour.Finally knowing off the matter Malli losses everything.On the otherside Chitra reveals about her admiration towards Suri Babu (Sundeep Kishan).Chitra works under Dhorababu (Ravi Babu) who is a womaniser.Her life turns when their is a misunderstanding with Suri.

Rest of the story is whether Malli and Chitra will be out of danger and both lead their lifes as a couple ?

Performances

Aadhi is apt in fisherman role and his screen presence is good.He looks rugged with beard and best in his performance.

Sundeep Kishan delivers his best acting as Suri babu.His performances is impressive and looks natural.

Lakshmi Manchu is best in her acting skills and good in sarees.Tapsee is gorgeous in plain saree and her performance as seductress is good.

Ravi Babu is best in his character and others palyed their roles at their best.

Technical Analysis

It's worth to mention that Ilayaraja's composition is soul of the film and his background score is effective between the scenes.Palani Kumar's Cinematography is commendable and shows the natural scenic of Godavari region.Graphics in flooding sequences are simply superb.Dialouges makes their mark in the audience.Editing could have been taken care.Kumar Nagendra gets a thumbs up for his debutant film.Production values are rich.


Analysis

First half of Gundello Godari picks up with a slow narration but it looks interesting with the past life of lead actors who struck in the floods.Movie looks naturally stunning with best cinematography and music makes it much interesting.The story of Tapsee and Aadhi carries with entertaining scenes leads to interval.

Second half runs even very much slow where every thing misses like comedy,emotion etc.,The main lagback is the script work for Lakshmi Manchu and Sundeep Kishan's flash back.Story looks much predictable and lacks emotional depth.The film has best music and superb cinematography and a good VFX work in flood scenes are amazing.

First half is entertaining while Second half misses the melodrama even with all plus from performances.
