Story of Baadshah starts :-
Rama Rao known as Baadshah (Jr.NTR) is an intelligent mafia person working under Sadhu Bhai (Kelly Dorji) in Macau. Baadshah is the son of Ranjan (Mukesh Rishi) trustable aid of Sadhu Bhai, who runs casino in Macau where crime takes its higher portion. Baadshah intelligence and his aggressiveness lead to rivalry with Saadhu Bhai.
Story makes a serious turn when Saadhu Bhai plans for dangerous attacks in India and also plans to finish off Baadshah and his family with the help of Crazy Robert (Ashish Vidyardhi) and Violent Victor (Pradeep Rawat) who were in India.
Meanwhile Baadshah alias Rama Rao comes to India to stop the attacks of mafia don who later falls for Janaki (Kajal Agarwal) who is the daughter of Jai Krishna Simha (Nasser) Police commissioner of Hyderbad. Here comes the twitst where Baadshah knows his flashback and a relationship waiting for him.. What is Baadshah's flashback ? Will he win Kajal and put an end to Saadhu Bhai's plans forms rest of the story.....
Performances
Jr.Ntr's new makeover tends to feel us like underworld mafia don Dawood Ibrahim. NTR as Baadshah has delivered a commendable performance and good on screen chemistry with his co-star Kajal. His comic timing with Brahmanandam are hilarious and a feast of medley to SR.Ntr songs are simply awesome. Jr.Ntr's dances for Sairo Sairo,Banthipoola Janaki etc.,, are amazing.
Kajal Agarwal as Janaki performed well with her Banthi Philosophy and her role as making people to learn about life with her one-liners are good and neat. She is glamorous in songs and danced with NTR to her best.
Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, Vennela Kishore succeeded in their roles to bring hilarious comedy and laughs in audience. Suhasini,Navadeep performed well and Siddharth does his cameo role neatly. Nasser ,Pragathi are effective while Kelly Dorjee,Jaya Prakash Reddy, Thagubothu Ramesh couldn't impress much. Others played their roles to the most. Mahesh babu's voice over showed the impact..
Technical Analysis
Thaman's music is good and background score is effective. Cinematography has its importance as 4 camera man's worked out the richest & colorful backgrounds with beautiful presentations on silver screen. Kona Venkat, Gopi Mohan and Srinu Vytla gave good and neat dialogues with punchy one liners for the film. Choreography is to be given special mention and screenplay is good in second half. Production Values are rich.
Analysis
Baadshah picks up with characters introduction in the first half. First half lays the story of what a mafia don wants to do. There are many characters which are introduced one by one with a sticky screenplay but makes audience to think Srinu Vytla's earlier films. As the film moves to the interval the pace of the film slows down.
Second half played the key role making the film a sure shot hit for this summer season. Jr.Ntr -Kajal Agarwal's on screen chemistry and punchy one liners makes the film much interesting. MS Narayana, Vennela Kishore funny skits and Brahmanandam's mark comedy enthralls audience which makes audience to stick to their seats. On the other side NTR's medley performance of Sr.NTR's old songs looks interesting and a real one which is to be not missed.
