Story
Shakti (Nani) who is careless guy meets Shruti (Vaani Kapoor) at a wedding and wants to partner with her for wedding planning business. Finally Shruti okays his request and both of them starts a wedding planner company Getti Melam. In no time Getti Melam was a huge success where all are happy but a small incident in the celebration party splits Shakti and Shruthi. What was the reason behind of their spilt? Will Nani and Shruti re-unite forms the crux.
Performances
Nani plays the role of a jolly guy Shakti with loads of ease and his costumes are well suited. His performance is the major plus which entertains till the end.
Vaani Kapoor is good in her role but does a clean performance as Shruti. She is glamorous in sarees.
Simran does a special appearance which is good. Others are adequate.
Technical Analysis
Cinematography is top-notch with showing colorful backgrounds and a rich wedding ceremonies. Editing is good and music by Dharan is just ok and BGM is neat. Gokul Krishna direction is good. Production values are high.
Analysis
If you watched Band Baaja Baarat this film looks just pale as its second half is big minus as compared with the original one. First half of Aaha Kalyanam picks up with some entertaining elements and takes audience in to the story at a consistent pace.
Second half lacks emotional depth and big flaw is that the lead actors couldn't manage with the dialogues which is seen in their lip sync. Chemistry between the lead pair is romantic in few of the lip-lock scenes. This half lacks energy and needed emotional content. More over in dialogues and screenplay the film showcases much of Tamil flavour which is major drawback to work with telugu audience.
Gokul Krishna didn't do much experiments in making of the film. He remade the film as it is with no changes.
ZC Take :-
It's Nani show all the way, nothing else....
